Meet meMeet Florence & The Meowchine - this little guy has had a rough start, and it's going to take plenty of TLC to help him settle and feel safe. He's been through quite a bit, so he's understandably cautious and may need some extra time to trust you. When you offer him treats, he might hesitate at first, backing away and even hissing occasionally - it's his way of saying he's still unsure. But deep down, he just needs a calm, patient hand to guide him. With gentle encouragement and a lot of understanding, Florence & The Meowchine will slowly start to feel more at ease. He's a sweet soul who just needs someone who can give him the time and care he deserves. Once he starts to trust you, you'll see his true, loving side emerge, and it will all be worth the wait. He's looking for someone to help him heal and show him that the world can be a safe place.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
