Meet Harriet - a quiet heart looking for a safe place to land
Harriet is a 1-year-old girl who is still finding her feet after arriving at the shelter. She's timid and understandably stressed by the busy environment, preferring to tuck herself away where things feel calm and predictable. Right now, she's quietly observing the world and learning that it can be kind. Harriet is FIV+ so will need to be the only cat in the household or rehomed with another FIV+ cat.
Harriet will need time, space, and patience to settle in. She isn't a cat who rushes into new situations - instead, she blossoms slowly, at her own pace. With gentle handling, a steady routine, and a peaceful environment, she has every chance to grow in confidence and begin to trust.
She would be best suited to a quiet home, ideally with adopters who understand shy cats and are happy to let her lead the way. Harriet isn't asking for much - just a calm corner, soft voices, and someone willing to give her the time she needs. She will need to be indoor only, where she can feel safe and protected while she settles and gains confidence.
If you have a gentle home and a kind heart for a shy young cat, Harriet may be the one waiting quietly for you.
