Meet Casimoro - or Casi, as his friends call him. He's a gentle soul with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person (and maybe a doggy brother or sister) to help him shine.
Casi hasn't had the easiest start to life, and because of this, he can be a little timid when faced with new people, unfamiliar environments or situations he doesn't quite understand. He's looking for a patient and understanding home where his family will go at his pace, advocate for his needs and give him the time and space he needs to feel safe and confident as he learns more about the world around him.
Casi will do best in a quiet, predictable adult-only household with one or two people. His new family will need to understand that trust takes time and be comfortable keeping introductions to visitors, new environments and new experiences slow, calm and positive. He needs people who will meet him where he's at and allow his confidence to grow naturally.
Ongoing confidence building through positive-based training will be an important part of Casi's journey. Thankfully, he's highly motivated by both food and toys, giving his new family some wonderful tools to help him learn, build trust and strengthen their bond.
And once Casi feels comfortable, his playful and cheeky personality starts to shine through. He absolutely adores his toys and loves nothing more than zooming around and having fun. Seeing these little glimpses of his personality emerge is pretty special, and a reminder of just how much love and joy he has to give when he feels safe enough to let it show.
Casi is looking for a family who can offer him consistency, patience and a safe, predictable home. In return, they'll have the privilege of watching him grow in confidence, discover new things and build a beautiful connection at his own pace. Casi may need multiple meets with potential adopters before going home, so he has the time to feel comfortable and build familiarity with his new family. For Casi, the right home could make all the difference.
