Meet meMeet Qais ''Ki-es'', a sweet young boy who is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. This gentle boy can be a little nervous when first meeting new people or settling into new environments, often preferring to take things slow while he figures everything out.
With patience, kindness, and a calm approach, Qais is slowly starting to come out of his shell and show his softer, more curious side. As he grows more comfortable, he's beginning to enjoy attention, explore his surroundings more confidently, and learn that people can mean good things like treats, playtime, and gentle affection.
Qais would thrive in a patient and understanding home that will allow him to build confidence at his own pace. Watching him continue to blossom and gain trust will be incredibly rewarding for the right adopter.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
