Meet meCaramel is a sweet boy who has come a long way. He started off very shy and unsure of people, but he is slowly learning to trust and grow in confidence every day.
His absolute favourite thing in the world is treats! Offer him a tasty snack and he'll happily come forward to say hello. When meeting someone new, you might be greeted with a little hiss at first, but don't worry-it doesn't last long. Once he realizes you're kind (especially if you have treats!), he quickly settles.
Caramel is also becoming very interested in play and is learning how much fun toys can be. As his confidence continues to grow, his playful personality is beginning to shine through.
With a little patience, plenty of treats, and lots of gentle encouragement, Caramel is blossoming into a wonderful companion.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
