Meet meLeon is a quirky, charming boy with a personality all his own. One of his favourite things in the world is a game of fetch, and he'll happily chase a ball with enthusiasm. Once he's had his fun, he's just as content to disengage and explore the world at his own pace, enjoying a good sniff around.
Leon can be a little stand-offish when meeting new people and is a bit head shy, so he appreciates gentle introductions and allowing him to approach in his own time. Once you've earned his trust, his confidence blossoms and he shows his affectionate side, forming strong bonds with the people he knows and loves.
While Leon enjoys spending time with his people, he's also quite an independent dog who doesn't need constant attention. He'd thrive with a family who understands his personality and will respect his boundaries while continuing to build his confidence.
Because Leon prefers a quieter lifestyle, he's looking for a home without young children. In the right home, with patient, understanding owners, Leon will make a loyal, entertaining, and rewarding companion.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
