Meet Eddy, a very sweet boy who has had a bit of a rough time in the shelter, but is now ready to find the loving home he deserves. Eddy is a real foodie and one of his favourite things to do on an outing is spend the first few minutes sniffing around the yard, searching for any treats he might have missed! Once he has had a chance to explore and settle in, he is more than happy to come over for some affection and interaction with his person.

Eddy is a gentle soul who can find the world a little overwhelming at times. Eddy may enjoy having another dog in his new home to keep him company, but he may also be perfectly happy as the only dog. He is looking for an adult-only home where his family can focus on helping him feel safe, settled and confident.

Eddy is a very affectionate boy who enjoys forming a bond with his people. He can be a little timid and wary at times, so he will need someone who is happy to let him warm up in his own time and listen to his body language. He doesn't enjoy roughhousing or being overhandled and should always have the choice to move away from an interaction. Regularly checking in with Eddy and consent testing will help him feel safe and comfortable.

A quieter household without lots of hustle and bustle would suit Eddy best. He will need an experienced owner rather than a first-time dog owner, who can give him the patience, understanding and positive support he needs to continue growing in confidence.
