Meet meSummer is a very sweet and affectionate girl who may take a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings. She can be quite timid and worried initially, so she is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.
She would benefit greatly from a calm, predictable home where she can relax, feel safe, and learn that the world can be a positive place. Also being the only dog in the household, will allow her to have her people all to herself without the added pressure of navigating other dogs.
Once she feels safe and comfortable, Summer is incredibly affectionate and loves connecting with her people. With patience, consistency, and ongoing confidence-building, this beautiful girl has the potential to blossom into a loving and devoted companion.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
