Scrappy

Scrappy is a very affectionate dog who can make a wonderful companion for the right, experienced home. He is good at communicating when he is feeling uncomfortable and will provide clear warnings when his boundaries are being approached. Due to Scrappy's previous experiences and demonstrated resource-guarding behaviour, he must be rehomed to an adult-only home and cannot reside in a home where children under 18 live or regularly visit.

Scrappy has been identified as a resource guarder, and his ongoing management will require an experienced adopter who understands canine body language, respects his boundaries, and is committed to continued training and positive reinforcement.

Scrappy will benefit from a calm, structured home where he can settle in at his own pace and where his resources can be managed appropriately. His adopter should be prepared to continue working with him to build his confidence and develop positive associations around handling and situations involving his resources.
