Gnocchi is a sweet, quiet girl who is feeling quite nervous and wary right now. She is still learning that she is safe, that people can be trusted, and that pats can actually be pretty wonderful!
She has already started making progress, and it has been lovely to see her slowly realize that she can relax and enjoy some gentle attention. She will need someone who understands that a timid cat needs time, patience and plenty of TLC to come out of her shell.
Gnocchi would love a calm, quiet environment where she can settle in at her own pace. A safe room to begin with, some tasty treats, fun toys and a little catnip can all help her feel more comfortable and start building those important positive associations.
She may be shy at first, but there is so much potential waiting underneath that nervous exterior. With patience and a gentle approach, Gnocchi will blossom in time, and watching her confidence grow will be incredibly rewarding.
If you have the patience to let a timid little girl find her feet and the kindness to show her that the world can be a safe place, Gnocchi may be the special girl for you.

The Adoption Process
Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.
Please note: if the animal you wish to adopt is listed as 'application only', please fill out the form on their profile and wait for our team to be in touch.
Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
