This lovely kitty is a little shy when meeting new people and prefers to take things slowly while building trust. With a gentle approach, plenty of patience and a little encouragement, Pecan is gradually learning that humans can be pretty wonderful!
Pecan is looking for a calm, understanding home where there is no pressure to rush into things. Having the freedom to explore, settle in and build confidence at their own pace will make all the difference.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
