Nera is a beautiful black kitty with a soft, sensitive nature and a heart waiting for the right person to discover it.
Nera has struggled to feel comfortable around the children in the home, showing signs of fear and stress. Through no fault of her own, she's now looking for a new family who can help her feel safe and secure.
She's a shy girl who needs time, patience and gentle encouragement to come out of her shell. A calm, quiet home without young children would be ideal, giving Nera the space she needs to build her confidence at her own pace.
Nera may not be an instant cuddle bug, but earning the trust of a shy cat makes every little milestone extra special.
If you have a peaceful home and plenty of love and patience to give, Nera could be the perfect little shadow for you.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
