Meet meHi, I'm Uncle Travis - every family needs a fun uncle, and I'm here to fill the position. My qualifications include questionable manners, getting overexcited at gatherings and contributing absolutely nothing towards the bills.
I can be a little nervous when meeting new people, so give me time to settle in before expecting peak uncle behaviour. Think of me as the uncle who arrives quietly at the barbecue, then ends up getting far too competitive at backyard cricket.
Once I'm comfortable, I can get quite boisterous. I'll need a family who can help me practise calm greetings and remind me that "Uncle Travis is here!" doesn't need to be a full-body announcement.
Underneath the big uncle energy is a boy who needs patience, gentle introductions and guidance as his confidence grows.
So, if your family gatherings are missing a hairy relative with no sense of personal space, come meet me. I'll bring the enthusiasm - you bring the snacks.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
