This lovely lady enjoys affection but can sometimes become overstimulated if things get a little too much. Miriam is looking for an adult-only home with an understanding and patient family who can recognise her body language, respect her boundaries and give her space when she needs a little break.
With patience, understanding and plenty of love on her terms, Miriam has so much potential to become a wonderful companion. She would thrive in a calm home where she can feel safe, enjoy affection at her own pace and build a trusting bond with her new humans.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
