For the Love of Pets introduced us to Koba this week, a boisterous Rottweiler who had never met another dog. Koba's previous owners sadly had to rehome him, as they weren't able to deal with his behavioural needs. Koba's story is a happy one though, because he ended up finding a loving family who had the ability to teach him right from wrong! Watch the video below to find out more about the rehoming process at Animal Welfare League and why making the difficult decision to rehome your pet might be in their best interest.
Many pets are rehomed due to behaviours an owner does not feel they can manage. In reality, most of these issues can be solved through increased exercise, enrichment and reward-based training, which can be beneficial for both you and your pet. EPISODE 8
Here at Animal Welfare League, we get so happy when we hear about animals being adopted into happy homes. That's why when Patrick spoke to us about how much joy Tessa has brought into his home, we had to share it with you!
During her time at AWL, Tessa underwent a number of surgeries, including knee surgery on both of her back legs. When an animal comes through our doors and needs a little extra TLC, our team will always do everything in their power to make sure that animal is given the best possible chance at happiness in their new life. This includes desexing them, microchipping them, vaccinating them, checking their health and performing any necessary surgery on them before helping them find their new families.
Every animal available for adoption at AWL is ready to spend the rest of their lives with you - say hi to them by clicking the button below.
