Meet meShane is a sweet, sensitive little kitten who is still figuring out that the world - and the people in it - aren't so scary after all. He tends to look to his brother for reassurance and happily follows his lead, which shows just how much he enjoys having a confident buddy by his side.
This curious boy has a playful spark that shines through once he feels comfortable. Toys are exciting, new spaces are meant to be explored (at his own pace!), and treats are absolutely the way to his heart. Shane is very food motivated, which makes building trust and confidence with him a rewarding journey.
He's also still learning that gentle touch can be safe and comforting. With patience, kindness, and maybe a confident feline friend to show him the ropes, Shane is sure to blossom. He's looking for a calm, understanding home that will help him grow into the brave, playful companion he's meant to be.

Cats - If you wish to adopt a cat you are welcome to visit both our Wingfield and Edinburgh North locations between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Dogs - If you wish to adopt a dog, you are welcome to visit our Wingfield location between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Dog adoptions from Edinburgh North are by application only. Please fill out the application form on the dog's profile and wait for our staff to contact you.

Once you have met an animal you would like to adopt, you can take them home the same day as all AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked ready for their new home (yes, even the kittens and puppies!)
