Animal Welfare League SA (AWL) is seeking a Collection Services Officer to provide dignified and efficient collection and delivery services as part of our Cremations team. This role is an opportunity to support families and veterinary partners during sensitive times while upholding AWL’s high standards of care, respect, and professionalism.
About the Role
As a Collection Services Officer, you will collect deceased pets from veterinary clinics and private homes, return ashes to clients, and ensure every interaction reflects AWL’s compassionate values. You’ll assist with memorial products, maintain accurate records, care for equipment, and work collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational KPIs.
What You’ll Do
- Provide timely and respectful collection and delivery services.
- Assist in preparing memorial products, including grooming, paw prints, and urn transfers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all operational procedures.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, maintained, and used appropriately.
- Deliver outstanding customer service with professionalism and empathy.
- Work independently while contributing to a supportive, team-focused culture.
About You
- Experience in logistics, production, or customer service.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
- Professional, reliable, and trustworthy with a mature outlook.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently, meeting individual and team goals.
- Confident communicator with intermediate computer literacy.
- Physically capable of completing the role’s manual tasks and holding a current driver’s licence.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including rostered weekends, public holidays, and on-call shifts.

This is a casual position. National Police Clearance and a functional assessment will be required prior to commencement.
